Clancy Quay Studios + Superprojects Professional Development Programme 2022 - 23
Now in its fourth year, the CQS + Superprojects Professional Development Programme gives recent graduates from all fine art courses across the country the opportunity to access knowledge, training and feedback from Ireland’s leading experts in the visual arts. The series offered bi-weekly seminars, gallery and studio visits, field trips in Dublin and Cork, mentoring and feedback sessions, with knowledge sharing and peer-to-peer collaborations encouraged.
Participants: Hana Bohacova, Matthew Coll, Jessica Daly, Aoife Dillon, Kat Lalor, Ella Litton Byrne, Emily Miller, Eden Munroe, Rachel Murphy, Jack O'Dea, Tara James Power, Emma Scully, Mia Shattock, Bronwyn Smith, Anna Stuart, Ellie Wall and Aishiling Walsh.
The programme ran from October 2022 to January 2023 and involved 17 participants, 16 mentors and 8 organisations across Ireland. Themes of seminars included subjects such as time management, how to approach artists talks and presentations, studio visits and networking, how to write excellent applications, tax and finance for artists, documenting your work and more.
Lucida Collective led the group to record their reflections visually with the aim of creating a collaborative ‘zine at the end of the programme. The ‘zine making task taught participants new skills such as photoshop layouts and design, as well as helped them to capture their learnings and programme outcomes in a creative way. The publication was launched at the closing event that took place on January 18th 2023 at the National College of Art & Design in Dublin. You can view or download the ‘zine here.
